Event Viewer
The Event Viewer provides historical access to events from Launchpad. It maintains access to past events across Launchpad sessions. On Launchpad, click EventS to open the Events Viewer.

Filtering Events
Events are shown in a tabular format. By default, a summary view of all events is shown, in order of the most recent timestamp.
In the default view, the Events Viewer contains the following elements.

Project |
The "Default" project is shown when the Event Viewer first opens. Select from the drop-down selector to filter events by other existing projects. |
| Severity | Expand from the selector to filter by a specific severity, such as Critical, Error, Warning, Notice, Info and Debug. The Severity filter is applied to the table by default. Click the Remove icon ( ) next to the Severity selector to remove the filter from the view. |
| Add Filter | Click to open a list of filters. Selecting a filter opens another selection area in which you can provide furthering filtering criteria. Click the Remove icon ( ) next to the filter name to remove the filter from the view. |
| Table Headings | Add or remove headings in the table. Select additional headings from the drop-down selector. By default, the table headings include Event Name, Description and Message in addition to Severity and Timestamp. |

System Name |
Select the ACTIVE or STANDBY Launchpad to view events for that system. If an HA enviroment is detected, then the System Name fiter is added by default with the name of the ACTIVE Launchpad. There is limit of 500 events that can be synced from ACTIVE to STANDBY when STANDBY comes back up after a long period of time. |

Click on any of the Events in the left-hand panel to view details about that specific event.
You can filter events by specific fields. Click Add FilTER to view filter options. when you select one of those filter options, you can then enter a search string in the resulting search box that appears on the right of the UI.
To search by multiple filters, enter a comma-separated list.
Filtering Events by Platform and Project Events
You can sort events with further granularity by choosing the event_ filter from the Add Filter selector. This selection results in a window in which you can choose the events to be shown for Platform and Project.
Click either Platform or Project to view a drop-down list of specific events. Use the checkboxes to select specific events.
Roles Requirements for Viewing Events
The ability to view specific event types is determined by the permissions allowed by the role assigned to the user, as follows:

All other roles do not have access to events.
Event Viewer Table Headings
By default, the table headings include Event Name, Description and Message in addition to Severity and Timestamp. You can and or remove headings in the table.

In the Detailed View, events are listed in the left column. When you select an event in the column, the details for that event are shown in the right column. To change the format of the display between JSON and regular text, toggle the JSON view selector icon
